Happy Weekend.

I took an unexpected break from the blog this week because, to be honest, I wasn't feeling very inspired.  As much as I hate forced posts this is kind of one of them.  I'm just checking in to tell you that I'm feeling refreshed and looking forward to the week ahead.  I started working with a new client - 28, successful, renter with zero furniture - so I can't wait to share the 'journey' of decorating her first roommate-free apartment in a new series, Girl on a Budget!  I'll share more details about the process, which started with helping her pick the perfect bachelorette pad, in the weeks to come so stay tuned!

Happy Friday!

Wow, what a week!  Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?  I had planned on sharing a Turkey Day tablescape post today but life got in the way.  I'm rushing out the door to go check on my newly refinished credenza (I posted about it here and it's finally being delivered tomorrow!) so be sure to check back on Monday to see some before and after shots!  And if time is on my side, I'm going to try my very hardest to post my last-minute Thanksgiving tablescape ideas later today or tomorrow.  In the mean time, here is a lovely little vignette that I recently snapped a picture of while shopping for a client.  The green malachite, yellow, and black and white color palette is a nice little follow-up to yesterday's post, right?  TGIF!

A Weekend in Vogue

This weekend I plan to lay low and beat the heat but next week, next week should be a good one... I only work two days; Tuesday night the boy flies in and stays until the following Monday; Wednesday we celebrate the Fourth on a boat with friends; Thursday we pray that everyone else is Chicago goes to work so we can hit up the beach; Friday we escape the city and head up to Madison for the weekend; and Sunday we BBQ at home!  Why can't every week be a two day work week?

But back to the weekend...we are in the 100's here in Chicago and the air is so thick you could cut it with a knife!  If and when I do leave the comfort of my home, I can only hope that I look as stylish as the ladies pictured in Vogue's favorite summertime snapshots! Bon weekend!

Happy Sun-Soaked Weekend!

This is exactly how I plan to spend my weekend. Well, actually, it will probably look more like this. Now that it's nice out I find that my weekends are far less productive. Does anyone else have this problem?  The Green City Market, Old Town Art Fair and two client meetings are on the agenda for the weekend. Busy, busy bee...but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hello, weekend!  My boyfriend is visiting from D.C.  We haven't seen each other is two month so this weekend could not have come faster.  No real plans, which is just the way I like it!   Happy Cinco de Derby!
