Smitten | Grey Furniture

I came across these stunning tables by Sarah Atkinson of Grey Furniture and can't stop staring at them. This Atlanta based company's designs are fresh, unexpected, and fiercely stylish. But the best part has to be that all of these fairly reasonably priced pieces are made to order so the size, base color and table top material can all be customized to fit your needs. Seriously, what's not to love? I'm completely smitten with the Jax table - the dramatic powder coated steel legs and inset mirror top are sure to add a bit of edgy sophistication, dimension and drama to any room!

Smitten | Billy Cotton

Since I've been cooking a lot more and sharing some of the photographs and recipes here on the blog I've realized that I'm in desperate need of simple, plain white dishes.  I've been collecting vintage china for a few years now and while these highly decorative pieces spice up a fancy fete they detract from the visual impact of simple foods like say, the soft pretzels I made last week. Plain plates, especially classic white allow the food to be the star.  So last week I set out on a mission to find the perfect refined white tableware. Enter Billy Cotton. Love at first sight.  There's something about the shape of the French Bowl that has be seriously smitten.  Oh and the handle on the pitcher, to die for!  My Birthday is coming up next week so I may have to treat myself to a few pieces.

I have a crazy tableware addiction so I'd love to hear what kind of dishes do you use?

Pinning

Pinterest....more addictive than chocolate.  Have you tried it yet?  It's the perfect place to create an online inspiration board.  I'm hooked!  Here are a few of the random things I'm loving this week.  My favorite?  A incredible brass button tufted headboard...pinned to "Need it Now!" What are you loving/needing this week?

Currently Coveting | Fouta Towels

This bathroom designed by Bailey Quin of Peppermint Bliss is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen!  The entire space is beyond gorgeous but it's the stack of green towels that really got me thinking.  When it comes to my bathroom I’m partial to the look of white linens but these beautiful handwoven Fouta towels by Scents and Feel have me seriously rethinking my “white towels only" rule.  Available in dozens of colors and stripe variations their softly textured natural cotton suggests a certain Mediterranean feel I simply can't resist.  Here, Bailey used a chartreuse hand towel and a stack of large stripe towels in veronese green — Thank you Bailey for reminding me that yes, there is life outside of white!

Old Dogs, New Tricks

Donna Wilson, a British designer, has given Staffordshire ceramic dogs - popular in the 19th century, and still collectible today - a contemporary face-lift.  According to the New York Times, Wilson works with traditional forms from a factory in Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire, and paints a patterned Fair Isle-style sweater and gold fur on each dog by hand. Her objective is to bring an old design back to life.  The dogs, above, which come in pairs (for $400), can be bought through the Future Perfect .  Swoon!

Wishbone Wishes

I've been on the search for Nick Olsen's gold wishbone ever since NYSD published his apartment in October.  Two months later and my wishbone wishes have come true.  The lovely wishbone pictured above can be bought at Jayson Home and Garden for a mere $48!
