Le Chignon

Say hello to Chelsea, Bridgett and Rebecca.  I love these simple yet intricate prints from Madrid-based Etsy shop Nosideup.  The detail on the first drawing, Le Chignon, is absolutely stunning.  Wouldn't a few of these  look chic in a girly dressing room?   

Winter Wedding

My jaw dropped when I spotted this spread of  Joan Smalls and Guinevere van Seenus in the September 2010 issue of American Vogue.  Dressed in most beautiful designer skirts and chunky knitwear the models ooze high society elegance - it's beyond brilliant.  My older sister recently got engaged and wants a nontraditional wedding and dress.  If she opts for a winter wedding this is definitely a look to consider!

Fresh Start

2010 was quite a year!  Graduating from interior design school, working on my first freelance design project, moving into my own apartment...those are a few of the highlights.  After a much needed holiday staycation, I'm back in the office (still working as a financial analyst) and excited to start the new year with a fresh, clean slate and clear mind.  In the Chinese calendar, 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, which is predicted to be a peaceful year, conducive to artistic pursuits. If the astrological signs are right, that should bode well for me and my goals.  Have you made your resolutions yet?
