The Chicago-based designer has revamped his website just in time for the launch of his new show. I have been eagerly awaiting the reveal hoping for new photos of Nate's awe-inspiring, perfectly curated interiors. My favorite home on the new website, Mister Billy Joel's Hamptons hideaway (currently on the market). My favorite room in the house? The bathroom! Love the brilliant punches of orange and kelly green! Love the intricately cut pocket doors! Love the hardware! Love, love, love it all!
In the living room, the architecture of the sharply peaked wood beamed ceiling gives the feeling of a beach house but all the drama of a loft. The living room has several seating areas and a long wall of French doors that open to an ocean side terrace. Not your typical beach house color palette. I like. The mix of fabrics and textures feels really rich.
The wood floors on the second floor have been whitewashed and then given a honeycomb pattern paint treatment in a slightly darker, grayish tint - perhaps inpired by Mosaica II, a print from No. 9 Thompson.
Beside the living room is the kitchen all done over in white subway tiles with gray grout and stainless steel cabinetry. I love a kitchen without overhead cabinetry. The designer's passion for antiques and textiles simply seeps from every shot. Bravo Nate, bravo!!
